Review analytics cost calculator. Every review, every location.
Enter your locations, reviews per location and other feedback sources. See which Dimension Labs plan covers that volume and what it costs, next to the hours it would take to tag the same volume by hand.
On Dimension Labs
Tagging by hand
Plan = the smallest self-serve plan whose monthly conversation limit covers your total, at the published monthly price (pricing). Plans differ in more than volume: custom Dimensions start on Discover, and joining feedback to CRM and revenue data starts on Prove. Manual hours = conversations × minutes per item ÷ 60. Estimates from your inputs, not a quote.
Everything is calculated in your browser. The calculator makes no network calls and saves nothing: close the tab and your numbers are gone. The site's usual analytics record that you visited this page, but the numbers you type and the results are masked from them.
Run this on all your data
Load every review, survey and ticket across your locations, tag each one with up to 10 Dimensions, and find which issue moves each location's rating.

What the calculator does
Dimension Labs prices by conversations a month, and a conversation is one review, survey response, ticket, chat, call transcript or email thread. So the cost of analyzing reviews across many locations comes down to one number: how many items arrive each month across every source. The calculator adds them up, finds the smallest plan that covers the total, and shows the same volume as hours of reading and tagging by hand.
The formula in plain words
- Monthly volume = locations × reviews per location + survey responses + tickets and chats + other conversations.
- Plan = the smallest plan whose limit covers that volume: Explore up to 1,000 conversations for $299 a month, Discover up to 5,000 for $999, Prove up to 25,000 for $2,999, Scale up to 100,000 for $6,999. Above that is Enterprise, from $150,000 a year.
- Cost per conversation = the plan's monthly price ÷ your monthly volume.
- Manual tagging hours = volume × minutes per item ÷ 60. The 1-minute default is an assumption, not a measurement. Set your own.
With the example inputs loaded above (made up), 40 locations with 60 reviews each, plus 1,000 survey responses and 500 tickets, come to 3,900 conversations a month. That fits Discover at $999 a month. At 1 minute an item, tagging them by hand would take 65 hours a month.
When to use it
- You run many locations (stores, hotels, clubs, restaurants, dealerships) and want every review read, not a sample.
- You are deciding between tagging feedback by hand, a sampling approach, or software.
- You want a plan estimate before starting the 14-day trial.
Limitations
- It sizes cost by volume only. Pick a plan by what you need it to do as well: see pricing for what each plan includes.
- Month one includes 3x your limits for loading history, so a large backlog does not change the plan you need.
- Manual hours cover reading and tagging only, not building the codebook, checking agreement between coders or writing the report.
- It does not show other vendors' prices. For those, with sources and dates, see our pricing roundup.
Common questions
What counts as a conversation?
One discrete customer interaction: a review, survey response, ticket, chat, call transcript or email thread. Rows that share a session ID count as one. Files you add only as context, like a store list or CRM export, are free up to your plan's limit.
What if my volume goes over the plan limit?
You move to the next plan, prorated. You get an alert at 80% of your limit, and your data is never stopped. Month one includes 3x your limits so you can load history.
Why is manual tagging time an assumption?
Reading a review and tagging it against a codebook takes different teams different amounts of time, depending on review length, the number of tags and how much checking you do. The calculator starts at 1 minute per item so you can see the scale. Change it to your own pace.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Explore, Discover, Prove and Scale start with a 14-day free trial on your own data. You add a card at checkout and are not charged during the trial. Cancel before day 14 and you pay nothing.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The calculator runs in your browser and makes no network calls. What you type is not sent or saved, and your inputs and results are masked from the site's analytics and session recordings.
