What Does Review Analytics Cost a 50-Location Brand?

At 50 locations, a per-location price multiplies by 50 while a volume price depends on how many reviews arrive. Here are the numbers, from published prices and measured review rates.

Review analytics for a 50-location brand costs anywhere from about $300 to several thousand dollars a month, and the biggest driver is the pricing unit. A per-location price multiplies by 50: Reputation's published $80 a location a month is $4,000 a month before any upgrade. A price by volume depends on how many reviews arrive, which for most chains is a few hundred a month. For a brand that wants every review across every store analyzed with its surveys and tickets, joined to store sales, and sent as reports each team can use, Dimension Labs is the strongest choice: it prices by conversations, not stores, so 50 locations start on the $299 Explore plan and the revenue join is on Prove at $2,999 a month.

This post works through the numbers for 50 locations: how many reviews that is, what each pricing unit does to the bill, how the cost per store changes as you open more, and what to check when a franchise agreement caps technology fees. For other vendors' list prices in one table, see customer feedback analytics pricing: 20 tools compared. To plug in your own counts, use the review analytics cost calculator.

How many reviews does a 50-location brand get?

Fewer than most teams guess. We measured review rates in three published analyses of public Google reviews. The 24 Atlanta Home Depot stores averaged 5.7 reviews a store a month, the 45 Marriott-family hotels in Orlando 11.1 a hotel and the 33 Chicago Planet Fitness clubs 14.7 a club. At 50 locations those rates come to 283, 552 and 733 reviews a month.

Rates from the Home Depot Atlanta analysis (2,354 reviews, 24 stores, Jan 1, 2025 to Jun 12, 2026), the Marriott Orlando analysis (9,446 reviews, 45 hotels, Jan 2025 to Jul 2026) and the Chicago gym analysis (9,186 reviews, 33 clubs, Jan 2025 to Jul 2026), each multiplied by 50. Rates for the last two count the span as 19 months.

Two cautions. Counting the hotel and gym spans as 19 full months slightly understates their rates if the last month was partial. And your rate can sit well outside this range: quick-service restaurants, car washes and clinics can run higher or lower, and a review campaign can sharply raise a store's count for a month. Pull 12 months of review counts per location before you pick a plan; how to analyze Google reviews across 50 or more locations covers the export.

Per-location or per-record pricing: which is cheaper for 50 stores?

Three pricing units are common, and each vendor below publishes its unit on its own pricing page (read 2026-10-26).

  • Per location. Reputation lists $80 a location a month for Rep Core, with $115 and $150 tiers. At 50 locations that is $4,000, $5,750 or $7,500 a month. Birdeye prices by number of locations and asks you to request a quote.

  • Per response. Revuze lists $1.50 a response on pay as you go, with a Bronze plan at $1,000. At the three review rates above, 50 locations would be about $425, $829 or $1,099 a month on the per-response price.

  • Per volume band. Dimension Labs sells plans by conversations a month, where a review, survey response, ticket, chat or call is one conversation. Explore covers 1,000 a month for $299, Discover 5,000 for $999, Prove 25,000 for $2,999 and Scale 100,000 for $6,999. All three review rates above fit inside Explore.

Monthly list price for 50 locations. Reputation publishes a per-location price; Dimension Labs prices by conversations a month. The products do different jobs, so read this as what each pricing unit does at 50 stores, not as a like-for-like quote.

The per-location figure is not a like-for-like comparison. Reputation and Birdeye are reputation platforms, and their per-location price covers a wider workflow: answering reviews, managing listings and a screen for each location manager. If your team needs that workflow, the per-location price buys it. If the job is to find out what is driving ratings and sales across the chain, the useful comparison is with tools priced by volume.

The break-even is easy to work out. A flat monthly price is cheaper than a per-location price once the store count passes the flat price divided by the per-location rate. Against $80 a location, Explore is cheaper from 4 locations, Discover from 13 and Prove from 38.

What does each Dimension Labs plan cost per location?

Volume picks the smallest plan you can use. What you need the analysis to do can push you up a plan, so check both.

Dimension Labs pricing

What you need decides the plan as much as how many reviews you get

  • Explore tags every review with the pre-built Dimensions library, up to 10 Dimensions per conversation, with unlimited agent reports. A 50-location chain with a few hundred reviews a month fits here at $5.98 a location.

  • Discover adds custom Dimensions, written in plain English for your business: a named dish, the drive-through, a specific staff role, a remodel.

  • Prove is where reviews are joined to your own data. The Causal Join connects up to 3 sources, such as a store list, weekly sales and loyalty visits, and findings come with confidence intervals. That is the plan for a question like "which problem is costing the low-rated stores sales".

Store lists, sales exports and other files you add only as context do not count as conversations. They are free up to 25K rows on Explore, 100K on Discover and 500K on Prove. The first month includes 3x your limits, so loading a year or more of review history does not change the plan.

What happens to the cost as you open more locations?

A per-location price grows in step with the store count. A volume price stays flat until the total crosses a plan limit, and then steps up. At 15 reviews a location a month, which is close to the gym rate above, 25 to 50 locations fit Explore, and 75 to 150 locations fit Discover at $999 a month.

Per-location pricing grows with every store; a volume price steps up at plan limits

Cost per location per month as the brand grows, at 15 reviews a location a month. Grey: a price of $80 a location. Rust: the smallest Dimension Labs plan that covers the volume.

Sample volume: 15 reviews a location a month is an assumption close to the gym rate above. Plan = smallest plan whose monthly limit covers the volume (/pricing); per location = plan price / locations. Custom Dimensions or the revenue join would move every row to Discover or Prove.

The cost per location is lowest just before a plan limit and jumps right after it, from $5.98 a location at 50 stores on Explore to $13.32 at 75 stores on Discover. If you expect to grow past a limit within the year, budget for the next plan now.

Our franchise agreement caps tech fees. What is the cheapest way to analyze every store's reviews?

Some franchise agreements limit what the franchisor can charge each franchisee for technology, so a per-location software fee competes with the point-of-sale system, the loyalty app and everything else under the same cap. Three ways to keep review analysis inside it:

  1. Buy it once at brand level. A volume-priced plan bought by the franchisor covers every store without a line on each franchisee's tech fee. At 50 locations, Explore is $5.98 a location a month and Discover $19.98.

  2. Count every channel before you choose. Most brands also want guest surveys and support tickets in the same analysis. In a sample brand with 15 reviews a store a month, 1,500 survey responses and 800 tickets, the total is 3,050 conversations a month, which is Discover at $999, or $19.98 a store. Reading the three sources together is how you see whether the complaint in reviews also shows up in surveys; which tools analyze reviews across many locations compares the options for that.

  3. Keep the store list and sales as context files. They do not count against the conversation limit, so joining on store ID adds no volume.

If franchisees are billed separately and each one pays its own share, the plan price divided by store count is the number to put next to the cap. On Prove, at $2,999 a month, that is $59.98 a store at 50 stores.

When is a per-location tool the better choice?

  • A reputation platform priced per location is the better choice when the main job is answering reviews, managing listings and giving each location manager a screen of their own, and the brand wants one vendor for that workflow.

  • A per-response analytics tool is the better choice when volume is low and irregular, and you want to pay only for the months you use.

  • A spreadsheet and a few hours a month is the better choice for a handful of stores with a few dozen reviews each, where one person can read everything.

  • Dimension Labs is the better choice when every review at every store needs the same tags, compared across comparable stores, read next to surveys and tickets, and on Prove joined to sales to see which problems cost money.

You do not have to replace a reputation platform to add analysis: reviews can come in from a platform export, Google Business Profile or a file. How to compare restaurant locations using guest reviews shows what that analysis looks like for a chain.

Why does a volume-priced analytics agent suit a 50-location brand?

Dimension Labs is an omni-channel analytics agent for customer data. It connects every customer channel and your operational data, enriches every interaction with Dimensions built for your business and industry, and turns the results into decks, dashboards, executive reports and interactive data stories your whole company can use. Plans start at $299 a month with no demo.

For a chain watching its software line per store, that means:

  • Every channel in one plan: Google and other review sites, guest surveys, support tickets, chats and calls count against the same conversation limit, whichever store they come from.

  • Store lists, POS sales and loyalty data added by store ID as free context rows, and on Prove joined to the reviews to measure which problems move sales.

  • The same Dimensions on every review at every store, from the pre-built library on Explore or written for your brand on Discover, so operations, marketing and franchise support read one set of numbers.

  • Store rankings, regional decks, executive PDFs and dashboards built in the platform, rerun on a schedule and shared by link with each team and region.

FAQ

How much does review analytics software cost for a 50-location franchise?

Among the published prices compared on this page, from $299 to $7,500 a month, depending on the pricing unit and what is included. Per-location prices multiply by 50; Reputation's tiers come to $4,000, $5,750 and $7,500 a month. Dimension Labs starts at $299 a month for up to 1,000 conversations, which covers the reviews of most 50-location chains.

Is there review analysis that isn't priced per location?

Yes. Dimension Labs prices by conversations a month, and Revuze lists a per-response price. For Dimension Labs, adding a store adds only that store's reviews to the monthly count.

For most chains, a volume-priced plan bought at brand level. Dimension Labs Explore at $299 a month covers up to 1,000 reviews, surveys or tickets a month across all stores, with the pre-built Dimensions library. Custom Dimensions start on Discover at $999, and joining reviews to sales is on Prove at $2,999.

Does the store list or sales data count toward the limit?

No. Files added as context are free up to 25K rows on Explore, 100K on Discover and 500K on Prove.
